Childhood, youth, culture and learning

Childhood, Youth, Culture and Learning (CYCL) is an interdisciplinary research group which combines insights from many fields: Pedagogy, child and youth studies, social work, sociology, gender studies, cultural studies and social psychology. CYCL research focuses primarily on children and adolescents; but also studies the living conditions, learning and identity processes of adults. Other important aspects of CYCL include evaluating of the function and purpose of education in relation to leisure time, family and everyday life. Key concepts problematize gender, power, sexuality, identity, segregation, ethnicity, race, learning and globalization.
