Education

Courses and programmes

We offer a range of courses and second cycle programmes in the area of learning and IT. We regularly offer focus courses such as Educational Game Design, and Games and simulation environments for learning. We also offer more general teacher training courses such as Learning, Communication and IT as a domain of knowledge and practice, individual, society and digital media.

At the doctoral studies level, we offer courses within the Faculty of Education and within the theme of new media, teaching and learning that is part of the CUL doctoral school.

The group offers the following doctoral studies level courses on a regular basis:

  • Literacies, learning and cultural dynamics, 5 credits
  • Emerging knowledge and literacy practices in a digital time, 5 credits
  • Games and play: Classic theories in a contemporary perspective, 7.5 credits
  • An ecological approach to learning and perception, 7.5 credits
  • Recording and using video in educational research, 5 credits
  • Video analysis in educational research, 5 credits
  • Qualitative methods in educational research, 5 credits
