About Hans Rystedt

Research interests
In both research and teaching, learning, communication, and information technologies constitute the common denominator. Some of my research is geared to how the conditions and demands of work regarding knowledge change when IT is introduced for new applications in working life. Other parts of my research focus on how interactive media can be used to create learning environments in which theory and practice can be intertwined in new ways. The latter is also the all-pervasive theme of my 2002 dissertation, Bridging Practices: Simulations in Education for the Healthcare Professions.

Teaching interests
My teaching is devoted mainly to courses and programmes in the field of Learning, Communication, and IT. The courses are offered jointly by the Department of Education and the IT University at Göteborg University.

Keywords
interaction, learning environments, simulation, profession, caring, information systems
